This is one of the finest albums i've heard in ages definantly the best album of 2007, this band are going to be big and by listening to this album you can tell why, so if you like bands like arctic monkeys, the wombats and the kooks this album is for you.
I bought this album after hearing the first two singles released from it (Romantic Type and I'm Not Sorry). Upon hearing these songs I thought that the Pigeon Detectives would be another decent indie band to grace Radio 1. Unfortunatly I could not have been more wrong. With the exception of the mentioned singles, which they have plainly released first to appear a better band then they are this album is pretty dull. Poor lyrics, boring tunes and highly repetative! This group's flaws are high-lighted further when you compare them to other bands such as, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Maximo Park etc etc.
You only need to listen to their most recent release off of this album (Take Her Back) to hear how the rest of this album sounds. TERRIBLE!! AVOID!!
This album couldn't be any better! I really think there isn't any room for improvement, it is by far the best debut album i have ever heard. The album flows from one great song to another to another and another, before you know it's over and you just press play for the second time. Very very good! Buy it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This album is great i couldnt belive how good this album was i didnt know who the pigeon detectives were before this album i cant belive this didnt do better in the charts
